Matt, age ten, doesn't want to do anything but watch T.V. and eat. His father has just passed away, and he's confused about his whereabouts. Is he in heaven? Hell? Does his soul still exist? And, why did God take him away.
Dinah, Matt's mother, is unrelenting in her atheism. She tells Matt that there is no God, no soul, no heaven, and no hell. She's a social worker who believes in helping people by doing tangible good deeds.
Enter Zack, an intruder who presents himself as a homeless, handicapped man in need of assistance.
Zack's, however, is not what Dinah and Matt expect.
Silent Visit is a two act dark comedy that runs, with intermission, slightly under two hours.
